Load Release

LOAD RELEASE

Provides an active film designed specifically to reduce the adhesion of aggregates on surfaces, allowing them to slide easily.

Designed to work very effectively as an anti-adhesion measure to stop pick up of Asphalts and aggregates on roller compactors.

This economical and long lasting treatment is able to replace the release agents that consume large volumes of water and other emulsions due to its concentrated nature.

Product History:

Load Release is commonly applied to containers, mixers, truck beds and forms prior to pouring asphalt or concrete into them. Load Release is applied in numerous ways and acts as a barrier to mitigate adhesion of the asphalt, concrete or other material to the relevant surfaces. The process is somewhat comparable to the use of butter or shortening to mitigate the sticking of cake batter to a pan.

The most commonly used release agent is diesel fuel as Diesel is inexpensive, readily available, and works reasonably well as it adheres fairly well to most surfaces. However, the use of diesel fuel is unnecessarily polluting the environment and its use as a release agent is prohibited by law in many areas.

Load Release is a completely bio degradable alternative, the application of Load Release provides an active film designed specifically to reduce the adhesion of concrete, asphalt and bitumen to surfaces.

Historically it has been customary to use mineral based oils for the purpose of creating a slip layer between asphalt /bitumen and the carrying surface, these are potentially damaging to both the structure of the asphalt/bitumen (via dissolving action) and the environment.

Mode Of Action:

Load Release is substantive to surfaces, a molecular film is formed between the asphalt and the surface on which the product is loaded/applied allowing the asphalt/bitumen to be removed or slide over the surface.

Environmental Facts

Unlike current anti adhesion products Load Release is fully degradable both chemically and biologically and poses no hazard to the environment. It provides a source of nutrition to natural microorganisms in both water and soil and will be degraded to harmless molecules within a very short time scale.

  • 100% biodegradable.
  • coloured so that even distribution is achieved and not over used.
  • There is no requirement for specialist ventilation as there are no carcinogenic fumes.

How It Works

Load Release our Australian asphalt release agent is completely biodegradable and is a special blend combining Natural edible plant oils. The application of Load Release provides an active film designed specifically to reduce the adhesion of concrete, asphalt and bitumen to surfaces by allowing it to slide over the surface.

IT contains no VOC’s and traditional solvents, meaning that this load release is a replacement for diesel fuel and other harmful petrochemical methods.

Naturally safe Australian Asphalt Release Agent

Fully degradable both chemically and biologically and poses no hazard to the environment.

It provides a source of nutrition to natural microorganisms in both water and soil and will be degraded to

Harmless molecules within a very short time scale.

Application And Uses

Designed specifically for an anti-adhesion treatment, Load Release may be used on many surfaces to prevent oily sticky materials from adhering. The main application is for use on vehicles carrying asphalt, bitumen or cement where it is sprayed onto a previously cleaned surface. All other equipment used for spreading or applying asphalt, bitumen or cement can be pre-treated to allow faster and more effective cleaning.

Applying a coating of Load Release can protect surfaces adjoining an area to be asphalted or concreted; it is also particularly useful for concrete shuttering allowing a smooth release.

Truck Bed Applications

400-700ML of product needed to apply anti adhesion to a whole truck bed.

Designed specifically as an anti-adhesion treatment Load Release may be used on many surfaces to prevent Oily sticky materials from adhering to all types of plant and equipment. However its main application is for use on vehicles carrying asphalt or bitumen where it is sprayed onto a previously cleaned surface.

Applying with a fogger the fine coating of Load Release can protect the truck bed from getting carry back.

When applied to drag slats Load Release provides lubricating action to reduce start-up amps and eliminate spiking. It also provides a releasing action to ensure no build-up of asphalt. Build-up of Asphalt can cause shutdowns and operational delays which will cost the client money and can significantly reduce productivity. In the event that a plant should stop with a hot mix in the conveyor the pre applied load release should have formed a barrier that will reduce problems caused by asphalt sticking.

Pneumatic and Steel Road Rollers

As a replacement for chemical solvents and hydrocarbon products, our asphalt Load release agent is able to be manually or automatically sprayed onto the pneumatic rollers to eliminate pick up, a smoother finish will be achieved with the use of Load Release

A highly concentrated formula that is sprayed onto pneumatic rollers and applied with the built-in spray bar, Load Release will prevent pickup of asphalt from a freshly applied surface

Load Release is easily applied to the tank and enables a stress free way of maintain a high quality asphalt surface. Continuous or intermittent applications are possible using the built in watering tank and sprayers on new pneumatic and steel type rollers.

All equipment used for spreading or applying asphalt or bitumen can be pre-treated with Load Release to allow faster and more effective cleaning with B.A.R.C. Bitumen Remover.  Applying with a fogger the fine coating of Load Release can protect surfaces adjoining an area to be asphalted, Kerbs for example; it is also particularly useful for concrete shuttering allowing a smooth release.
